If someone were to ask me why I enjoy being a Civil Celebrant I would have to say that it’s very wrapped up in being a ‘people person’. Celebrant work takes me into people’s homes and into their hearts as this work involves not only marriages but also baby naming or name giving of any age, commitment ceremonies, milestone celebrations and of course funerals. I have the opportunity to get to know people at the most emotional times of their lives, sharing their joy and their sorrow and this I consider to be a privilege.
I want to touch the hearts and minds of the people listening so that they can share the very special moment emotionally of the couple making a lifetime commitment to each other. Or in the case of a funeral, to be able to capture the essence of the loved one so recently departed, with honour, respect and dignity.
Until January 2017 my full time employment was Community Relations Advisor and Grief Educator with Invocare, I now offer education sessions as a private provider, read all about what I do by going to the Grief Educator page which is last in the menu.
"Thankyou Jane for helping make our wedding day so special. Your genuine warmth made our ceremony heartfelt and just perfect, and your calm presence eased our nerves during those emotional moments! We couldn't have asked for a better start to our marriage!"

We were very happy with Jane as our Celebrant. Jane was extremely helpful to us as a mature couple each marrying for the second time in advising us as to how we could have a ceremony that met our wishes of blending two families together and enabling us to involve our respective children in the ceremony itself.
Upon meeting with Jane we were very impressed with her understanding of our needs and tailoring a ceremony to meet those needs was no problem for Jane.
The ceremony was just as we wanted it and the involvement of our children helped make for the perfect wedding.
